kakhanao bhāsini nīle,
kakhanao rākhini chokh,
ḍānāmelā gāṅchile
ābār yedin tumi samudrasnāne yābe
āmākeo sāthe nio,
nebe to āmāẏ ?

nijer jany bām̐chā nijeke niẏe ?
yadi bhālbāsā nā-i thāke
śhudhu ekā ekā lāge
kothāẏ śhānti pāb, kothāẏ giẏe ?

āsthā-hārāno ei man niẏe āmi āj
tomāder kāchhe ese duhāt petechhi,
āmi du’chokher gahbare śhūṇyatā dekhi śhudhu
rātghume āmi kono sbapn dekhinā,
tāi sbapn dekhbo bale
āmi du’chokh petechhi
