peṭkāṭi chām̐diẏāl mombāti baggā
ākāśhe ghur̤ir jhām̐k, māṭite abajñā||
baẏas bāro ki tero ||
rikśhā chālāchchhe,
ākāśhe ghur̤ir jhām̐k chheleṭāke ḍākchhe|
baẏas bāro ki tero, bar̤jor chodd,
rikśhā chālāte śhikhe niẏechhe se sady|
chheleṭār man nei pyāḍele bā chākkāẏ||
ai to legechhe pyām̐ch chām̐diẏāl baggāẏ|
śhān deoẏā mānajāẏ, baggā bho kāṭṭā|
chheleṭā chem̐chiẏe oṭhe “ei niẏe āṭṭā”|
saoẏār bābuṭi bhābe, deri haẏe yāchchhe|
bichchhu chhom̐r̤āṭā bar̤ āste chālāchchhe|
“oi chhom̐r̤ā, āre oi chhom̐r̤ā ma’la yā
āṭṭā to tor ki ?”
saoẏār bābuṭi den rege mege humki|
bābur khyām̐kāni śhune sambit phire pāẏ
chheleṭā ye kare hok rikśhā chāliẏe yāẏ|
e kiśhor pārbe ki ei bojhā ṭānte ?
ei bābu kono din pārbe ki jānte ?
ye chheleṭā prāṇapṇe rikśhā chālāchchhe,
muktir ghur̤i tāke khabar pāṭhāchchhe|
