Maatir pradeepkhaani aachhe

māṭir pradīpkhāni āchhe māṭir gharer kole,
sandhyātārā tākāẏ tāri ālo dekhbe ba'le||
sei āloṭi nimeṣhhat    priẏār byākul chāoẏār mato,
sei āloṭi māẏer prāṇer bhaẏer mato dole||
sei āloṭi nebe jbale    śhyāmal dharār hṛdaẏatle,
sei āloṭi chapal hāoẏāẏ byathāẏ kām̐pe pale pale|
nāmal sandhyātārār bāṇī    ākāśh hate āśhis āni,
amarśhikhā ākul hal martaśhikhāẏ uṭhte jba'le||
